Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) for emotional wellbeing and values-based living

Life can be filled with challenges that stir up difficult thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) offers a supportive path through these moments, one that doesn’t ask you to avoid or suppress your inner world, but to meet it with openness, compassion, and purpose.

At Mindful Connections, ACT is a core part of our therapeutic approach. It helps people build psychological flexibility, reconnect with what matters most, and move forward in alignment with their values, even when life feels uncertain or overwhelming.

ACT invites you to notice your thoughts and feelings without judgement, learn mindfulness skills, and commit to meaningful action. Rather than trying to “fix” what you’re feeling, ACT helps you develop a new relationship with it. Over time, this can lead to greater clarity, resilience, and a more empowered sense of self.

Online ACT counselling for every corner of Australia

ACT also supports individuals in strengthening mindfulness acceptance counselling practices, helping you become more present with your thoughts and emotions without letting them control your actions. This can be especially helpful during times of transition or uncertainty, where emotional overwhelm may otherwise cloud your ability to stay connected to what matters most.

We offer Acceptance and Commitment Therapy counselling online, with sessions available Australia-wide. Whether you’re in a busy city or a remote location, you can access expert ACT support through secure, confidential telehealth sessions. No travel, traffic, or parking required.

Our online format allows you to engage in therapy from a space that feels safe and familiar. It also offers flexibility, making it easier to fit self-care into your life, especially if you’re balancing work, study, parenting, or other commitments.

Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 8pm, and Saturdays 9am to 4pm. In-person appointments can be arranged in the Geelong CBD upon request.

ACT can support you with:

  • Anxiety, stress, and low mood
  • Trauma and life transitions
  • Identity and values exploration
  • Feeling stuck or disconnected
  • Self-esteem and self-worth
  • Behavioural or emotional challenges

This values-based counselling approach is especially effective for those wanting to feel more present, aligned, and capable of navigating life’s ups and downs with intention and care.

A therapeutic approach

My counselling practice is grounded in a person-centred framework, where each individual’s unique story, strengths, and goals guide the therapeutic journey. I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to support clients in meaningful and tailored ways, blending approaches where appropriate to meet their specific needs.
